We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a full time position covering a 3 month contract.  This position is located in KINGSVILLE.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reconcile company prepared documentation or vendor packing slips received by the company to vendor invoices.
  • Post vendor invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and also ensuring that all reportable taxes have been identified and posted properly.
  • Match all appropriate documentation (i.e. company prepared, packing slip/bill of ladings, invoices and statements) in order to prepare invoices for payment.
  • Prepare and/or process payments to the vendors.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to company records to ensure completeness of all vendor charges.
  • Assist with related special projects as required.
  • Basic filing or relevant vendor documentation, including invoices, bill of ladings, cheque remittances and other vendor correspondence.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Accounting College/University Graduate and related work experience
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV considered an asset
  • Must be self-motivated, ability to work autonomously with strong problems solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic analytical skills required, strong math and communication skills needed,
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, and other employees
  • Company confidentiality agreement will be required
  • Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job
  • Willingness to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity

Pay: $18/hour
