Pay Information: $15 - $16/hour (Depending on experience) Order Type: TP

We are currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant. This is a full time position contract position covering a 6 month maternity leave.  We are looking for someone to work Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm until December.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drafting, editing and proofreading legal documents, dictation, drafting letters, client correspondence
  • File organization and management: ensuring physical and electronic files correspond, diarize the file
  • Provide administrative assistance and general office duties
  • Prioritizing workflow to be able to complete tasks within timeline

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

Education and Experience:

  • Post Secondary education in legal administration or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working as a Legal Assistant
  • Must have experience with dictation

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) - candidates will be tested
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize workload
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong team player; demonstration of a positive work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $15 -$16/hr (Depending on experience)
