Description

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Associate . This is a full time position being directly hired with the company.

The Finance Associate is responsible for working on a variety of engagements, providing research and technical support, identifying and handling issues on files, conducting financial analysis and assisting in the preparation of reports.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in engagement planing including preparation of information requests, identification of key issues and approach/methodology
  • Develop financial analysis and models in Excel, including detailed analysis of historical and projected financial results, cash flow forecasts and budgets
  • Conducting market and industry research, benchmarking analysis and compilation of comparable company data and transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for business valuation, litigation support assignments, forensic accounting investigations and various strategic and financial analysis mandates
  • Communicate with clients including correspondence, meetings and discussions and follow up

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Business degree with 1-5 years of relevant post graduate experience acquired in accounting, corporate finance, investment banking, research or other similar finance role
  • CPA, MBA, CFA and/or CBV a strong asset
  • Strong skills in financial modeling and research
  • Strong technical skills, including MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ an asset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
