Description

We are currently recruiting for an HR Manager for our client in the KINGSVILLE area. This is a FULL TIME position being directly hired on with the company.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meets organizational staffing requirements by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counsels managers on candidate selection; conducts and analyzes exit interviews; recommends changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and coordinating training programs, including frontline leadership and senior leadership development programs.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommends benefit programs to management; conducts educational programs on benefit programs for employees.
  • Maintains a compensation structure by conducting periodic wage surveys; prepares wages and benefits budgets; recommends and implements compensation structure revisions (e.g., wage and salary scales; processes related to cost-of-living and merit increases etc.); controls changes in employee compensation in conjunction with President, as needed.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource Federal and Provincial requirements; conducts investigations; maintains records; represents the organization at hearings.
  • Implements and oversees performance management initiatives, promotions, and succession planning programs.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work is effective by training managers to coach and discipline employees; resolves employee grievances; counsels employees and supervisors

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Manager
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent experience required.
  • CHRP designation an asset.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Experience in manufacturing or food processing an asset.
  • Experience of unionized workplaces.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS systems an asset.
  • Strong Leadership abilities to both influence and coach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation, listening and feedback skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Professionalism, tact and ability to exercise good judgment.
  • Must be versatile and flexible to adapt to changing business needs.

Pay: Up to $85,000/year (Depending on experience)
