Description

We are currently recruiting for an AP/Payroll Clerk.  This is a full time position with the opportunity to be hired on permanently with the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, deductions and taxable benefits
  • Extract timesheets and review work hours for completeness and accuracy
  • Prepare employee payments by electronic transfer.
  • Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay accounts.
  • Prepare and balance period/year-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal and Provincial legislation in Canada
  • Respond to inquiries and provide consultancy from employees/management on payroll matters.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • 2-3 years of processing payroll experience
  • Completion of post secondary education
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of multiple accounting software packages
  • Knowledge of current legislative requirements and CRA regulations
  • Superior attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately.
  • Exceptional ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Excellent teamwork, communications, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with all departments and levels within the organization.
