Pay Information: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 Order Type: TE

We are currently recruiting for a Claims Supervisor. This is a FULL TIME position covering a 14 month maternity leave.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise employees to ensure everyone works as a team and with optimum efficiency while providing extraordinary customer service.
  • Ensure the ongoing development of the department through direct involvement in the recruitment, orientation, training, coaching, discipline, and health and safety of employees.
  • Operate within the budget to achieve the objectives and standards contained in the operating plan.
  • Supervise the departments performance as well as its systems and processes to secure productivity, enhancements, improvements and efficiencies.
  • Create a positive team environment where employees are trained, organized and motivated to meet service level, productivity and efficiency objectives.
  • Work with employees, members of the Management Team, and other employees to address and resolve customer issues and inquiries.
  • Coordinate shift workflow by adhering to the CBA and the company’s policies, procedures and methods, and by applying performance data and reports.
  • Coach, develop and supervise the work performance and well-being of employees through the performance management process as well as regular coaching sessions and health and safety reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • University/College Degree.
  • Minimum of five years of management/ supervisory experience.
  • Experience in health claims administration/adjudication would be considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams through process improvements and technology changes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required.
  • Well organized team player with passion for customer satisfaction.
  • Bilingualism considered an asset.

Pay: $65,000-$75,000/year
