Description

We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeping Assistant for our client in the Leamington area . This is a PART TIME position with the opportunity to be hired on permanently as a full time employee with the company. Candidates will be working the day shift, 20 hours a week between the days of Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Bookkeeping - Entering transactions, creating cheques, calculating foreign exchange on USD and EUR transactions and reconciling accounts for 3 different company branches.
  • Payroll: Bi-weekly payroll administration, commission pay calculations, monthly remittances, holiday pay calculations, etc.
  • Document creation/management: Employee offer letters, wage increase letters, termination letters, etc.
  • Filing/Organizing
  • Responding to emails
  • Collections on past due accounts
  • General office administration duties

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • 1-2 years of previous Bookkeeping experience
  • 1-2 years of previous administrative experience
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Quickbooks
  • Exposure to running payroll
  • Strong attention to detail, organized, hard working
  • Professional
  • Strong oral and written communication

 

Pay: $16-$19/hour (DOE)
