We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Specialist. This is a FULL TIME direct hire position working straight days. The Senior Payroll Specialist is accountable for processing, monitoring, and overseeing the comapny's payroll process accurately and in accordance with established practices and guideline.

The successful candidates will have the following experience:

  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, processing and reviewing data using AD
  • MUST have expsoure to US payroll
  • Updates payroll records by entering changes in salary, exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions (RSP/401K), job titles, promotions and department/division transfers.
  • Analyze and process garnishments.
  • Provides payroll information and reports as requested from management.
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
  • Process and complete year end for T4/W2
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Essential Job Functions:

  • Graduate of a college or University Accounting Program
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience processing payroll - Ceridian and/or ADP an asset
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements
  • General knowledge of benefits, employment practices, wage/labour laws and taxes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed required deadlines
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution
  • Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment
