Description

We are currently recruiting for a Back Up Shipper/Receiver for our client in Windsor. This is a full time position on a days/afternoon rotation with the opportunity of being directly hired on by the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Production Coordinator, Supervisor and Logistics Manager with all shipping and receiving activities, as required.
  • Issue and log traceability number (release numbers) to incoming material as required and tag products. (forward all incoming product certifications to QA Mgr. or Assistant QA Mgr.)
  • Ensure that all incoming, in process, and finished goods are appropriately tagged and subsequently moved into the appropriate designated areas.
  • Assist with housekeeping endeavors to ensure a safe and organized shop floor. Adhere to 5S initiatives
  • Ensure all product is stored so that it is moved on a first in - first out (FIFO basis).
  • Prepare any shipping documents as required. Assist truck drivers with documentation when and where required.
  • Work in compliance of the O.H.S.A. and site policies. Report all workplace incidents/accidents to your Supervisor. Use and wear the protective clothing, equipment or devices issued for protection and ensure that they are properly maintained. Notify Supervision if any protective material, equipment or device is missing or not functioning properly. Report unsafe acts or unsafe conditions.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Must be a certified lift truck operator.
  • Must have a general understanding of Quality Systems Requirements, especially as it relates to Handling, Storage, Packaging, Preservation and Delivery.
  • Must be aware of quality, productivity, and safety standards and ensure that they are consistently met.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Should be team oriented.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
  • Grade 12 Education
  • Must have and maintain a valid Ontario driver's license.
  • Must have and maintain legal entry/access into the United States.
  • Must have proficient computer skills


Pay: $15.15/hr
