Description

We are currently recruiting for a Data Entry Clerk/Customs Broker. This is a full time position with the opportunity to be hired on by the company. We have a straight midnight shift available.

Responsibilities for the Data Entry Clerk/Customs Broker include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare shipment documents into system for data entry
  • Identify, review, and label shipment documents in time-order
  • Research accounts and send to the appropriate branches if needed
  • Utilize scripts for applicable accounts, analyze and extract relevant information from shipment documents and enter the data into the system
  • Locate information from various sources and databases to ensure all required data is entered
  • Set up shipments for Canada customs to clear; break down individual components of shipments and provide required codes, descriptions, and details for clearance in Canada
  • Review and research problems associated with rejected shipments, make adjustments, and re-submit for clearance
  • Answer inbound calls to resolve issues presented by freight broker companies/account representatives

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of a college or university degree
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in an administrative/data entry role
  • Previous experience as a Customs Broker a strong asset but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and database software
  • Ability to type 60 WPM

Pay: $14 - $15/hour
