Description

We are currently recruiting for an E-Coat Technician Supervisor for our client in Windsor. This is a full time position being directly hired on by the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining, measuring and monitoring all equipment on the e-coat line and overseeing the reports submitted by E-Coat Technicians
  • Gathering data from all three shifts and preparing reports for Management on E-Coat related discrepancies for correction
  • Ensuring all PH and conductivity tests are completed on each shift and appropriate chemical balancing is done
  • Training E-Coat Technicians 
  • Ensuring PM’s are completed on all three shifts
  • Checking and adjusting paint thickness as required
  • Controlling and testing waste treatment adding chemicals as required and ensuring proper disposal
  • Ensuring proper oven temperatures are maintained
  • Checking all temperature gauges on all tanks and adjust as required
  • Ensuring flow rates on all back flow valves are correct and adjust as necessary
  • Monitoring tanks and adding or adjusting chemical additives as required
  • Ensuring that chemical drums are changed as required
  • Monitoring DC voltage and amperage of rectifier
  • Starting up and shutting down e-coat line as required
  • Controlling the production of D.I water adjusting the chemical level as required
  • Ensuring that filters and absorbent padding is changed as required
  • Ensuring that tanks are emptied and recharged as required

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • College diploma with a preference given to candidates with a chemical background
  • Familiar with IATF 16949 requirements especially as it relates to machine maintenance activities
  • Prior experience in a management and/or supervisory role
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Blueprint reading knowledge
  • Team oriented and have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of basic electricity, pneumatics and hydraulics a definite asset
  • Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid Ontario Driver’s license
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing is a definite asset
