Description

We are currently recruiting for Process/Set up Technician.  This is a full time position with the opportunity for permanent hire.  We are looking for someone to work a days/afternoons rotation but availability for all shifts may be required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform required preventative maintenance on all injection molds and complete all checklists and documentation as lined out in procedures.
  • Documentation of all process changes and/or deviations from standard processes (including press changes as necessary).
  • Anticipate and resolve issues that may hinder production performance including but not limited to press scheduling and unnecessary downtime.
  • Replace, repair hoses, fittings, etc. where required
  • Perform required tool changes timely to ensure completion of required production as well as meeting or exceeding daily targets for Efficiency, Effectivity, and Utilization
  • Perform tool changes using approved checklists and procedures (PIMMP)
  • Complete all changeover and maintenance reports as required
  • Clean, label, store, and organize all tools in designated areas and maintain tool cart organization
  • Ensure all necessary preparations are completed and available for the next shift to ensure smooth transition at shift change and limit interruptions and/or downtime for that shift The Process Technicians are empowered to shut down machines (cease production) when Quality and/or Safety issues arise or persist.

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • Secondary School completion.
  • High level of competency in injection molding and knowledge of tooling.
  • Excellent time management and priority setting skills.
  • Supplemental training in APQP, SPC and DOE preferred.
  • Possess basic understanding of FEMA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
  • Crane operation experience a strong asset
  • Lift Truck operation experience a strong asset

Pay: $19 - $26/hour
