Description

We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist. This is a full time position being directly hired on with the company.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Update job requirements; create postings; conduct research to attract candidates based on position requirements; review applications/resumes
  • Schedule and interview job applicants; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicants’ qualifications
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources
  • Organize and attend job fairs
  • Prepare background checks and job offer paperwork
  • Track recruitment efforts
  • Manage employee relations including acting as a liaison between employees and management
  • Participate in company events, town halls and training sessions
  • Provide advice, assistance, coaching and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation
  • Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural inquiries
  • Conduct investigations
  • Utilize human resource databases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
  • Monitor implementation of policies and oversee compliance
  • Assist in the planning and execution of new company initiatives and policies

The successful candidate will have the following experience:

  • 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a Coordinator or Generalist role
  • Post secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources
  • CHRP a strong asset
  • Must have a good knowledge of provincial regulations
  • Strong computer skills inlcuding Word, Excel and Outlook
