Description

We are currently recruiting for 2-3 Field Service Technicians for our client in Essex.  These are full time positions with the opportunity for permanent hire after 3 months.

The Service Technicians install and service automatic and semi-automatic packaging equipment for the produce industry across Windsor-Essex county.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Installing semi-automatic and automatic packaging equipment
  • Training customers on how to operate the equipment installed
  • Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems both in house and in customer facilities
  • Ability to comprehend and identify process issues on the equipment
  • Must be available to our customers for on call support
  • Applicant must be willing and able to travel within North America

The successful candidates will have the following experience:

  • 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
  • Post-secondary education as a Millwright, electrician journeyman or other technical training required
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills geared to the industrial sector
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve on a case by case basis under pressure
  • Must be comfortable training clients often in a group environment, showcasing how to run and maintain the equipment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both clients and colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft and other multiple software systems
  • Valid Driver’s License and clear drivers abstract is required
  • Must be able to work in Canada, the US (Valid Passport) - as needed
